How To Workout

When one asks how to workout they must first asses their workout needs. What i mean by this is it depends on, if you are trying to lose weight or if you are trying to get stronger, or you may be trying to get more endurance, or you may be trying to gain more mass.

Cater To Your Needs

Now that you have a general idea of what you want to do the next thing is to choose a plan that relates to you. Their are many sites that list the secret of "how to workout". In reality there is no secret. The real secret is choosing what best benefits your body and helps you achieve results week after week.

What Body Type Am i?

There is three different types of body types. The first is what is called an "Ectomorph" it is. People with a very skinny body type. They are born with super fast metabolism. Which means that they can pretty much eat what ever they want. You probably ask what is the problem with this? The real problem is the fact that you need to gain weight to gain muscle. It is much harder to gain muscle when you can not gain weight easier.

Endomorph

A Endomorph, is someone who is naturally big boned. They can eat the same amount as a Ectomorph and gain weight. They have a great advantage over the Ectomorph, due to the fact that they gain muscle much faster. The disadvantage is the fact it is much harder to lose weight from them.

The Mesomorph is a combination of the two. What i mean by this is that it combines an Endomorph and a Ectomorph. This means they get the best of both worlds. They can gain weight and muscle very easily but, they can also lose weight very easily as well.

Time To Chose The Workout

Now that we have assessed what body type we are. We now want to pick what i we want to gain endurance, gain strength, or mass

Endurance

If one wants to get a body more focused towards endurance. One needs to Focus on doing more Repetitions (REP). A rep is completing the full exercise to the end. One needs to also focus on doing more Sets. A set is how ever many reps you chose in a sequence to perform. For example you would do, 20-25 repetitions for 5 sets. The weight you would chose would be about 25% of your max.Max, is the most you could lift. Than you would workout with 25% of your max.

Strength

If you want to choose a workout to gain strength. You would want to focus on doing less sets. So for example you would choose 3-4 sets. You also want to do less repetitions, for example you may want to do 4-5. You than need to do about 90% to 100% of your max. So you pick an weight that caters to your needs.

Mass

If one wants to work on mass, you would want to focus on doing 8-10 reps to about 2-3 sets per exercise of your choosing. For the max you want to do about 80% of your max.

At the end of the day, their is no real secret. But, with hard work and trial and error you can pick the best exercise and the best plan for them to use.

Good tips - I like the cater to your needs. Often people plan workouts that don't fit their needs or current capability. The result is injury or just giving up as a result sometimes.
