So How Does It Really Work?
The way it works is that advertisers will send you want they want you tweet related to want you put in under keywords in your profile.You can either accept, or ignore their offers . You can choose from such, categories as business and finance to health. You can even type in your own keywords if if you want.But, its best to use theirs because you will get more offers. They also will never post anything unless you give them permission so this means no automated messages!
Cost Per Click
Sponsored Tweets works on the premise of a Cost Per Click (CPC). Which means each time one of your followers clicks on, one of your Sponsored Tweets. You will make money, it just depends on how much each sponsored tweet is worth. For example one may be two cents so, if someone clicks on it you will make two cents. You can also put how much you want to charge, but you should put a price based on how many followers you have. For example if you have 8,000 followers for example you would charge Nine dollars per tweet.
Downside
Some things that may disappoint some are the fact that the minimum to cash out is $50. The other thing is when you generate clicks it will go to pending on your account. Until the advertiser can check if they are real. So, at times you can have $30 dollars pending but, a balance of 20 dollars.

very interesting. I didn't know you could monetize your twitter with sponsored tweets. It would be worth checking out. I just don't want to commercialize my twitter account and lose followers because all I'm doing is advertising.
